Chieti, 26 November 2019 – Around 3,000 visitors attended the first edition of “Musica in Fiera” which was held last weekend at the exhibition center of the Chamber of Commerce of Chieti Scalo. The guests, mainly from central Italy, gave an absolutely positive opinion on an event that is in the running to become the reference point of the sector of musical instruments and training throughout Italy.

“We are satisfied and above all excited for what happened in two days of the event – comments the artistic director Claudio Canzano – the large turnout at the exhibition stands, the interest from visitors and the massive presence of operators in the sector make us believe that we can immediately get to work for the second edition “. And in fact the organizers Gianluca Tiberio and Tommaso Di Mascio of Starklin, under the direction of Claudio Canzano, give news that they are already ready for the planning of the 2020 edition which will most likely be anticipated in September.

“In a few days – adds Canzano – we will announce next year’s dates. An absolute novelty will be the expansion of the fair to classical and acoustic violin making instruments with a silent pavilion specially structured for this type of music. Another idea is to add a third day entirely dedicated to sector operators “.

The event par excellence dedicated to musical instruments and music training was a success not only in terms of the public but also in terms of organizational and artistic quality.

There were many musicians who took turns in demos and live performances. From the tribal and Neapolitan sound of Tony Esposito to the rock baton of Luca Martelli, drummer of Piero Pelù, from the classic notes of the Delfico youth orchestra with the students of the Liceo Musicale of Teramo coordinated by Prof. Irene Tella to the unmistakable melodies of Max Tempia and Massimo Zagonari, musicians and people in charge of the sound of famous TV programs including Maurizio Costanzo Show, Buona Domenica and The Best Years. And then again the musical refinement of the duo Francesco Bissanti on the piano and Angelo La Manna on the marimba, a particular percussion musical instrument; the funk jazz of the 3G Hammond trio with Glauco di Sabatino (drums), Fabrizio Ginoble (hammond) and Giovanni Baleani (guitar); the overwhelming energy of Federico Paulovich, a young drummer appreciated all over the world; the live of the percussionist singer Giovanni Imparato who currently performs with Renzo Arbore and the Italian Orchestra; the medley of the most famous pieces of Elio e le Storie Tese performed by the official guitarist of the Cesareo group; the performance of the Christian Grassart duo (collaborations with Patrick Rondat, Andrea Toffanelli) and Gianni Di Carlo (collaborations with Gianni Morandi, Ivana Spagna and Antonello Venditti); Ciro Manna’s guitar, which boasts artistic experiences with Richard Bona and Peppe Vessicchio, accompanied by Marco Galiero’s bass and Antonio Muto’s drums; closing the exciting concert by Maurizio Rolli and the Conspe Big Band of the Pescara Conservatory, with the extraordinary participation of Greg Howe, Michael Jackson’s guitarist, Enrique Iglesias and Justin Timberlake.

All this and much more was Musica in Fiera which also hosted many music demos, conference “Music in Art from 500 to Caravaggio” with live listening, high-level training offer dedicated to exhibitors. A very successful Drum Circle experience, moments of music therapy and the “Dj Award 2019” event curated by Giorgio Santovito.

8000 square meters involved for the initiative, three pavilions set up, 60 exhibitors present with the most representative brands in the world of musical instruments, 40 live performances and certainly a lot of good music, the glue of an experiment that is already projected towards the second edition.
